10 Blogs that I Read [Updated]

September 18th, 2007 Posted in uncategorized

bookmarksDarren Rowse, of Problogger, recently wrote about his ten favorite blogs. They weren’t really his favorites, but more of just randomly chosen blogs from a bookmarking folder. I wanted to do the same, minus the “random” picking.

Before I go on with the list of ten, I wanted to say that I left out some of the larger blogs, (ie TechCrunch, Engadget, Gizmodo) they are already read by a large group of people.

  • Glennwolsey.com- I started reading this blog when I saw an article on the front page of Digg. The blog is written by a teenager from New Zealand and tends to be about Apple and Photography. The blog is well written and completely honest on what’s good and what’s bad. The (new) Glenn Wolsey Show is just as good as the blog and answers reader questions.
  • MacApper.com- I am a writer for MacApper, but that doesn’t mean I can’t read it and like it. Like the name, the blogs about Mac Applications and even though it’s written by 30+ people, it has a relaxed feel.
  • LifeClever- I just started reading this blog after reading the Apple keyboard packaging article. I get tired of all the productivity tips, but it’s still a great read.
  • Shaunlow.com- I found this blog while stumbling and I’ve found it really useful. “Blogging to Success” is the sites slogan and his blogging tips have become extremely helpful in the shaping my blog. Domain was sold!?
  • LadyBanana.co.uk- Just a personal blog (from the UK) with some very interesting opinions and stuff from around the Internet. She finds some really cool online quizzes and tools.
  • MaleWail.com- A really well written and hilarious blog by “Dave.” I also found this blog by using StumbleUpon. Recently, I’ve enjoyed the frustrated posts about creating a new theme.
  • Ob81.com- Ob81 (aka Howard O’Berry) has established a web presence not just with his blog, but on Digg and Pownce. His blog, is a must read for any Apple fan and his writing is quirky, yet enjoyable. If you ever need any help, Ob81 is the kind of person that will go out of his way to help, like he did with me.
  • TheWrongAdvices.com- A great source for tech news and blogging tips. Content is always frequent, interesting.
  • GeneratorBlog: Love those Internet generators? Yes? How about a whole blog of different generators. I’ll admit it I’ve spent lost many hours on this site.
  • ?- I couldn’t decide what I was going to put on this last one so I’ll leave it up to you. Got a favorite (indie) blog that you’ve started reading? Leave your picks in the comments.
