TMZ.com: Success from Scandal (Graph)
July 26th, 2007 Posted in uncategorized
I don’t like celebrity news, if you can call it news. I especially hate celebrity news sources that purposely exploit people, for their own business success. TMZ is a perfect example of a site that succeeds from human exploitation. I checked the Alexa traffic rankings for TMZ.com and found something very interesting.
Don’t get me wrong though, celebrities have their problems, but for TMZ to better themselves from scandal/exploitation is unfortunate. TMZ gives the web (especially blogs) a bad name.

And you are trying to better yourself by criticizing TMZ… the cycle continues.

Sorry about all the celebrity news, it’s not here to stay.

@teK
If I were trying to better myself I sure wouldn’t do it with celebrity gossip.
Thanks for the comment, teK!

heh Well, the average person that frequents sites like this don’t spend much time on the computer. My mom for example gets home late, does a search for lets say “Beyonce Fall” which she heard about at work, and TMZ comes up. Its funny to hear it sometimes though.

I agree with the whole avoiding celebrities/gossip bullshit, this day and age it is just so hard to. I am sure I am not alone when I say that life would be better if the names “Lohan”, “Hilton”, and “Spears” were never muttered again, and of course not replaced. Maybe living in the bush isn’t such a bad idea after all…

I so agree with you teK. I can’t watch the local morning news anymore because all I hear about is celebrities. I want to read/watch real news.
