Kongregate : Facebook :: Addicting Games : MySpace

A big time waster for me has been flash games. There are websites chalked full of games, but Kongregate is different. At first look, Kongregate looks as if it were another social network (like we need anymore) and it is, but it’s a social network based on flash games. Just create a profile and then your ready to leave your mark (in the form of comments, scores, and ratings) on a near thousand flash games Kongregate currently houses.
Kongregate distances itself from other flash game sites because it relies on people to create, upload, and play the games. YouTube of games, anyone!? Since it relies on people, the games are much higher quality than the games you’ll find on AddictingGames and/or Hallpass and you’ll end up actually playing them for more than the typical thirty seconds.

Kongregate doesn’t just benefit the users, it also rewards the creator with cold hard cash (if the game become popular) and then leads to more great games. It’s like the Olympics, the athletes are competing for gold, while hundreds of millions get to watch and enjoy.
Advertising. To make money, flash game sites have resorted to using high amounts of incredibly annoying flash banner ads. Having won a few dozen PS3’s, a few PSP’s, and a couple iPhones, I have become tired of seeing them. With Kongregate, the ads are few and far between and far more bearable than the ones we are used to.
Kongregate, with time, will be “YouTube of games.” It offers what other popular flash games offer, with a social networking feel, without the annoying banner ads.

BTW- Go vote for Desktop Tower Defense 1.5, they could win $1,500!

you may want to read up on how to form analogies before you make your next payola post.
